According to a recent media blast I recieved starting now (or fairly shortly) you can register online for a chance to become the one lucky winner of two VIP tickets to the Sasquatch! Music Festival, which is the grand prize of the Tenchu Z sweepstakes. You and a guest will be flown to Seattle and driven to the world-famous Gorge Amphitheatre to camp for two days and rock out with thousands of music lovers. Additionally, 30 first place winners will receive a copy of the Xbox 360 exclusive, Tenchu Z, so they can try their hand at becoming the ultimate ninja! You might have heard about this contest on Major Nelson’s latest podcast as well.

Some more info on the prize:

Held annually at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash., this year’s Sasquatch! Music Festival will take place over Memorial Day Weekend, on Saturday, May 26, and Sunday, May 27. Hosted by Sarah Silverman, of Comedy Central fame, the famous music festival will host more than 50 artists on three stages over the course of two days, including scheduled headliners: the Beastie Boys, Bjork, Arcade Fire, Spoon and Interpol. Sasquatch! features something for everyone, with a supporting line-up of Manu Chao, the Hold Steady, M.I.A., Bad Brains, the Dandy Warhols, Neko Case and much more!

and of course about the game making it all happen:

Coming this summer, Tenchu Z is the first mission-based ninja stealth action game for the Xbox 360 console that allows players to hone their stealth skills while slaying the enemy to become the ultimate ninja. With more than 50 stealth ninja missions set in ancient Japan, players can assassinate an assigned target, pour poison into a river within enemy territory and deliver a secret scroll to a given destination while avoiding enemy detection. let’s be honest, who doesnt want to be a Ninja?

this isn’t an officially supported tool yet, since I know that there are a few small things that I have to resolve, but I just made a small modification to the plugin which would allow anyone who uses wordpress to use my plugin, if you wish. The biggest change is all the direct access to the Microsoft data has been moved to a public service provided here on my blog - removing any issues that might arrise by giving this plugin to someone who is not in the XDCP. So essentially the plugin contacts my blog to get the gamerpicture for the person who left comments on your blog, and my blog does all the communication using my XDCP account.

Maybe you care, maybe you dont, let me know if you are interested in this plugin

well I just finished up a chat with one of the boys over at XBLRadio, if you dont listen to their podcast, I would suggest checking it out - they are a nice bunch of community guys with a bunch of different podcasts - a video podcast, an xbox live roundtable (for gamers just like you) and a standard news type deal.

I am not promoting it just because I am interviewed on it, because well I generally think I sound like a tool on these type of things. But I do subscribe to their podcasts, and since I just finished the discussion with them, it made me think to mention them to you guys.

I am not sure when the interview will be up, and lucky for me, it was no where near as long as the one with deacon over at unscripted [:D]

Yet another contest - I love a good round of pacman, but I have my doubts of actually ranking high enough to win the world title. I think I will start practicing anyway :)

NEW YORK — April 18, 2007 — Microsoft Corp. and NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. today made video game history by announcing the first-ever Xbox 360™ “Pac-Man” World Championship, presented by Quiznos. From April 25 to May 9, fans of one of the world’s most beloved video games of all time will compete on the classic arcade game via Xbox LIVE® Arcade on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, evolving “Pac-Man” gameplay from the local pizza parlors and arcades of the ’80s to the Xbox 360 and its online gaming community with more than 6 million members. The top finalists from participating countries around the world will be flown to New York City for the finals on June 5, with the winner being crowned the Xbox 360 “Pac-Man” World Champion by Toru Iwatani, the creator of “Pac-Man.”

The Xbox 360 “Pac-Man” World Champion will receive worldwide acclaim from being the first-ever Xbox 360 “Pac-Man” World Champion and gain a place in gaming history. The winner of the finals will also receive other great prizes, including 26 years of free Quiznos toasted subs (one sandwich a week for 26 years, a $13,520 (U.S.) value), 100,000 Microsoft Points for games, movies and other fun content available on Xbox LIVE, and a one-of-a-kind Xbox 360 featuring a special design inspired by “Pac-Man.”

You might know of www.360gl.com, and if you dont definately check them out. Here is the official description of them.

is first and foremost a Gaming League and Tournament Site, but we are building the Gamerbase into a useful tool for combining (and referring to) the great community sites that are out there.

I am happy to say that they have added a little feature to display live eye information on their gamers (that have a live eye profile) using the 360friendspot public APIS.

Swing by and check them out, looks like they a Gears of War tournament coming up - you and all your team members can rack up a smooth 1600 MS Points, to bad I completely suck at Gears of War :)

Took me about 2 hours to take this guy down last night on super-hero difficulty. Maybe I will redo it and record it to show the strategy I used, but for now I will simply explain it the best I can.

First Part - on the top level

  • Attack with quick attacks, blocking whenever sabertooth attacks - he generally swings one (sometimes two) times before his first rage.
  • While he is charging his rage, hit his as many times with quick attack, then block his rage attacks - dont bother to attempt to fight back.
  • He will come at you in 3 waves while in rage, after the third you should have your own rage built up - use it, and continue to attack with quick attacks and blocking his attacks as they come
  • Also after his first rage, often he attacks in a wave of three attacks, and then you can counter after blocking these three, if he does a jump attack it will throw you back even when blocked, but if blocked properly it doesnt seem to take away your life (or if it does, it is a very small amount)
  • He will generally rage again, use the same strategy as before, when he hits about half life he will jump to the below platform.

Second Part - Lower Platform

  • Use the same strategy as above, but be warned when you get him very low he will rage and it doesnt seem to end - also blocking his rage attack will still damage you - once he was in this nonstop rage (I would guess when he was a bit under 1/4 - 1/5 life) I simply charged and attacked him blindly - blocking any attack possible and using my rage as well.
