Well my buddy Ymiris and his love for Madden NFL 08 asked me if it would be possible to make some charts and trending data based on the gaming statistics that EA provides via email after every game.  Knowing my love for interesting little coding projects I am sure he know I would be interested in working with him on it the moment he asked.

So far the project is coming along pretty well, and I have done some interesting integration things between a few out of the box - and some custom written stuff.  As many of you all ready know, me and pretty web design are pretty much oil and water (one of the main reasons ZaaM does all the ‘beauty work’ at 360friendspot.com and theliveeye.com as well as coding) so I did my best to make the layout at least somewhat appealing - and Ymiris is going also put some time into making it look a bit better.

Come on over to madden-stats.com and register for an account, test it out, and provide us some feedback.  After you register you can copy and paste your game emails into our game loader and it will populate our system with the stats provided within.  Sadly we dont have a direct connection to the data like the XCDP program for xbox live (*hint hint EA Games*).  After your data has been loaded, you can check out your stats in a more graphical way - as well as being able to see your Average, Max, and Min of a specific stat.

Keep in mind that the site is still in the very begining stages - so it might have a few bugs - and will continue to be modified as we develop and refine the functionality of the site

Microsoft just released a video giving a bit more detail on the characters of Mass Effect.  It shows an assortment of main characters you will encounter during your lifetime in Mass Effect.  Some of which are Urdnot Wrex the Krogan master, Captain David Anderson from the Alliance military, Tali’zorah Nar Ray Ya (say that 10 times fast) the Qaurian nomad, and Turian Spectre Nihlus.  All footage is taken directly from the game and show a sampling of each of the characters mentioned. 

November 20th can’t get here fast enough

Well about 5:30 PM EST today it seems that the Game Title for Shadowrun changed from “Shadowrun” to “Shadowrun EPD Service”.  When viewing your Achievement summary and on your gamercard the game still displays as “Shadowrun” but when viewing the actual achievment list for the game - or your online status it will say you are playing “Shadowrun EPD Service”.  So why the random title change, and why now, or is it just some random thing that went wrong?

Edit 09/13/07: well this morning its back to normal, so it seems like it was just a small blip I guess.

So the achievement hunter otherwise known as DaKing240 has uncovered the achievement list for The Orange Box, but there is something fishy going on here.  If you read his article, you can clearly see that there are 99 achievements with a value of 1,000 gamerscore listed.

I don’t know where I read or heard this but I know there was a policy floating around that mentioned a limitation of 50 achievements & 1,000 points for a base game - and a maximum of 60 achievements & 1,250 points for a base game + free or paid downloadable content.  If this achievement list is real (considering the issue with 2 released halo 3 achievement lists) why were they not held to this policy?  Is it possibly because The Orange Box is promoted as 5 games on 1 disc?

I am not one to hunt this kind of stuff down - but this pretty much fell right in my lap.  To my suprise neither of the 2 major achievement sites seem to have these listed yet either.
