So at work every friday I have to write a Status Report of what I did workwise that week - it’s not a new concept most of you probaby have to do something similar.  That combined with the facts that my gamertag starts with an S, and I can’t think of anything really catchy for these little weekly updates lets go with “Squid’s Status Report”.  The last one was off the cuff just to try and get myself used to blogging a recap type article, call it practice if you will.  From now on I will probably post these sometime durning monday, it might seem like im ripping off Deacon’s Monday Morning Scripted, but it just makes sense to post it after the weekend - which is the most likely chance of more gaming or things going on to blog about so there you have it, and here is the first ‘official’ status report.

The Gamez

• I finally got my hands on Blue Dragon thanks to gamefly.  I haven’t gotten very far yet, but have enjoyed it so far - not sure if it gets more difficult but so far its feels like i just blow through every enemy with ease - perhaps thats why there is a DLC for harder difficulty.
• Still cranking away at Puzzle Quest,  I don’t know what it is about this arcade game but no matter how late I am up laying something else, if I didn’t all ready play it earlier I make sure to load up Puzzle Quest and complete at least a few battles before I go to bed
• I gave Just Cause a little more play time, still just grinding away the achievements I have left, this is probably going to end up on the back burner for a bit though with all the new games I got recently, but I really want to get 100% in this game and be done with it, time will tell.
•  I got the latest issue of OXM (I am a subscriber) so I spent some time on the demos and various content that comes on the included disc - often they are on the marketplace too - but lately I have just been to lazy to browse new content on the marketplace
• I have a copy of Skate from gamefly, which has yet to touch my drive
• I traded in some older games at Blockbuster and got a copy of Call of Duty 4, since everyone seems to be crazy for this game lately - I surrendered to the peer pressure and got my copy, I played it just a few moments before leaving for 360voice code weekend
• I also bought Super Mario Galaxy for my Wii - but I only played for about 20 minutes - also got this the day before code weekend, so I used my normal gaming time for resting since I knew I wouldnt be sleeping a ton during the weekend.
• I am definately getting Mass Effect, and eyeballing Assasins Creed, the holiday season is an expensive time for a gamer

The Codez

Call it lazy, or lack of ideas to develop, I haven’t really done a lot of coding this week (outside of my real job, which you could care less about :-))

• ZaaM IT and I put together some new gamercards for 3fs, the main difference for these cards though is they show your Halo 3 Service record, so all you halo fans check it out
• I made a change to madden-stats, which would make viewing stats much easier and efficient, its an AJAX solution, but so far when Ymiris tested it, it wasn’t working for him, so thats not online and I have yet to find a working solution - not sure whats wrong as it works fine for me.
• I was lucky enough to get invited by Steve and Trapper to hang out for the latest code weekend, I did a bit of coding but mostly eating and beer drinking as I watched the voice boys break stuff write da codez.  I did come up with a script that will help both 360voice and theliveeye update gamedata a bit easier, at least that was the intent - time will tell.  I also made a stealth change to live eye profiles - which now displays your xbox.com motto as well

Misc Stuffz

• XBLRadio 56.0: Technically my ‘work’ was done previous to 11/12, but as usual I recorded the ‘friendspot spot’ which was released on this episode on 11/12 - go check it out, and hear about the new hosts on XBLRadio
