X Marks the Spot for Free Loot

Microsoft dug up a few partners and is offerring a pretty interesting little contest.  From Today until December 10th they will release a number of hints and you have to search the interwebz for a word with which includes an Xbox Green “X” in it.    Prizes include:

  • Xbox 360 games from EA, Activision and Ubisoft
  • New phones from Samsung
  • Mountain Dew mini-fridges
  • New Zune devices
  • Xbox 360 Elite consoles
  • An all-inclusive vacation for 4 to any Beaches Resort
  • Personal Xbox LIVE gaming session with an Adidas star athlete
  • A complete home entertainment system, including a Panasonic HD projector
  • Pontiac G6 Coupe GXP

Gears of War Map Editor

Well I got a press release showing off the Unreal Editor in the Gears of War PC version and I was rather impressed.  The game is packing some serious value - costing about 5 bucks less than a used copy of the 360 version, with this editor, all of the 360 content included, new campaign levels, a new achievements - but its pretty close to the exact same achievements (except the kill achievements aren’t exclusive to ranked matches).  zOMG!

I have never been much of a designer, but the video makes creating a level almost like child’s play.  I was a bit slow on uploading the video, so instead I am just leeching off a copy my friend Deacon uploaded - enjoy!

Tabula Rasa Coming to Quench your MMO Thirst

Tabula Rasa PVP Ladder System

I am a bit behind on posting this news, I blame my xbox360 addiction.  In any event tomorrow Tabula Rasa will be officially released, and yesterday they released an official press release with some details on the PVP ladder ranking system, including some shiny screenshots to boot.
