Another Monday, another status report. This week seems to be a pretty big entry, after looking it over I seemed to have gotten quite a bit of gaming in, and even a little coding. I also threw up a little section about me/my family as a person rather than a gamer - for those of you that really do actually want to know more about the guy behind the gamertag. Hopefully you actually like it, otherwise I am wasting quite a bit of time typing all this stuff up!
The Gamer
- I got my hands on some prize copies of Shrek-N-Roll and ScrewJumper! to give away on the sites I work on however I felt like giving them away, if there were a few more of you blog readers, maybe I would have game some away here! In any event, I figured it would be interesting to use our friends at 360voice’s challenge system to give out the goods - so thats going on right now (ends tonight). We all seem to be having fun with it.
- Puzzle Quest got some play as well, as if I had to even mention it. I am getting close to finishing the story and most if not all the achievements, I might end up playing it less after that, but I have all ready started a new character type on the DS version which I play at lunch from time to time.
- I finally played Mass Effect a bit more, and I have to say I have never been so frustrated, annoyed, and addicted at the same time. The game looks beautiful, but at times I just seem to drop the ball and get completely destroyed. Those times are almost always right after a required long dialog - which I have to repeat…..over….and….over - they really should auto save after the dialog or something - or maybe i just need to suck less.
- I have been playing a few rounds of Shrek-N-Roll, ZaaM got us a copy from the XCN for review, and he asked me to write up the review. I can’t say I HATE the game, or that its completely horrible, but I honestly don’t know that I would have spent my own $10 on it. A full review whenever I stop being lazy and type it all up in our new reviews section at 3fs!
- I tried to play Call of Duty 4 with TommyDaGip -but we had some serious connection issues, but since I had the disc in I played a few more rounds of multiplayer anyway. I really wish that they gave us access to the stats outside of the console so we can come up with some cool cards or something like the Halo 3 ones
- Still cranking away at Just Cause - there is a TON of things I still have to take over to finish up the achievements in this game, its the same thing over and over for the most part though so after a bit, I just have to get away - I’ll get that 100% badge on my live eye profile…..who knows when though
- Dusted off my copy of Guitar Hero 2, somewhat dreaming that it was GH3. I actually did better than I remember doing in the past, Hard is not an option still thats for sure, but I guess my practice on GH3 with the voice boys was worth it.
- Speaking of the Voice Boys, I gave Halo3 a spin with them late one night. Probably later than I should have but I played a few rounds, and then finally went to bed - it was fun even though I spent a good portion of the time eating dirt.
- I also pulled out Civil War for the first time in a long time, same as Just Cause - simply finishing up some achievements and what better time to do it than when my challenge is going on (it didn’t help though, I am loosing :-))
- Finally last week I was featured at unscripted360 for a gamer showcase - thanks again Twylyght and Deacon!
The Coder

Unscripted360 just released a “Medals” system - essentially for those registered on his blog you can get various medals that will be displayed when you comment on the site - I worked with Deacon in coding the medals system and a way to manage and add them - etc. It’s gotten quite a bit of positive feedback, and a few bugs - but it seems to be working pretty good and was pretty fun to develop. I have a few enhancements, and probably more to come from Deacon soon enough - so I’ll probably end up writing about these next week too.
The Person
- Tomorrow (December 04) is my 4 year wedding anniversary. Nothing really crazy planned, just a dinner alone without the kids - which doesn’t seem like alot until you have a 2 1/2 year old and a 11 month old.
- December 17th is MY 30th birthday
- December 18th is my daughters 1 Year old Birthday
- With Christmas, and the other things listed here, you can guess December is a freaking busy time for me
- We finally got a bit of snow so I was able to take the kids out and enjoy it this weekend
- Finally if you want to know more of the personal me - and family pictures, I do have a family blog which I dont update as frequently, but I try!

Happy Anniversary!! I hope you had a great one!
