Do you rock the Chat Pad? Is it worth it?

Do You Have one?

Are they worth it?

Circuit City is running a deal ($10 off online only) that ends tomorrow.  I am wondering if I would actually use this thing enough to make it worth buying.  It seems more and more I get caught up messaging friends, so on one side I think it could be a valuable addition, but on the other - I am on my xbox to game, not chat!

What say you?

12/31 - 01/06: Day Late….Dollar Short

Yeah, yeah the weekly always posted on monday status report has rarely been weekly - and often not posted on Monday - funny how that works eh?  Perhaps thats why I avoided making myself fit to a schedule such as this, blogging always ends up bottom of the list of things to do, and often I feel like I don’t have alot to say, but for those of you anxiously awaiting information on ‘the one that punches squids’….here you go.

KUFCOD HTSST

I figured with that many letters to represent a game title, why not add a few more, but for those of you wondering what the words behind the letters mean….

Kingdom Under Fire Circle of Doom Hits Store Shelves Today

I just downloaded the demo last night and got to play it for only a few minutes this morning (thanks Johndg for letting me know it was out there ). I was pretty pleased with what I played thus far, it could be alot different from my first impression, but I get a Ninety Nine Nights (but better!) feel from it, with a dash of Diablo 2 (Squid <3’s Diablo 2…)

So it’s pretty likely I will get my hands on a copy soon - how about you?

Pissed about Xbox Live Issues? Microsoft offers free stuff to ease the pain

Just got a copy of this letter last night, and can’t wait to see what free game we get!  I love free things, I just hope its not something I all ready actually paid for, and mostly useless to me :-)

Dear Xbox LIVE Members:

During this past holiday season you helped us break a number of Xbox LIVE records. This included our largest sign-up of new members to Xbox LIVE in our 5 year history and just yesterday you broke the record for the single biggest day of concurrent members ever on the service.

As a result of this massive increase in usage we know that some of you experienced intermittent Xbox LIVE issues over the holiday break. While the service was not completely offline at any given time, we are disappointed in our performance. I would like to take this moment to thank you each and every one of you for your patience and understanding as our team has worked around the clock to return the service to a stable state.

At the same time we would like to offer a token of our appreciation to all of you in celebration of record success for the service. And as a thank you for your loyalty during this holiday period, we will be offering all of our Xbox LIVE members around the world access to a full Xbox LIVE Arcade game that will be available to download free of charge. In the coming weeks we will be sharing the specific details of this offer with you.

Thank you again for helping make Xbox LIVE everything that it is today!

Sincerely,

Marc Whitten
