Thursday Throwdown

Yeah, the title of this post means absolutely nothing.  I just was having a hard time coming up with a title for a post about pretty much nothing [:)]  I haven’t blogged in a while, on any of my sites actually so I figured I should take a bit of time and change that.  Be warned, when I start thinking “I haven’t blogged in a while”, the posts usually end up just me rambling away, mostly about things you couldn’t care less about.  You have been warned!

Not alot has been going on really - a bunch of the same I guess you could say.  I have been watching more movies with the wife at night now that the kids are on a new more strict early bed time schedule.  Most recently we watched ‘There Will Be Blood’.  I had no clue what the movie was going to be about, and my guess based on the title was completely off.  I enjoyed it though.

I got my final issue of OXM magazine on my current subscription - though since the day it landed at my house I have not been able to find and actually read it, the kids put it somewhere - and I dont have a clue where.  I have to get my subscription renewed before I miss out on something,  I don’t care if people say print is dead - for some reason I still like getting a mag rather than just reading online.

In gaming news, I rented and finished Lost.  I wouldn’t suggest it for anyone that would spend actual money on the game, but its an easy 1,000 points if that is your thing.  It happens to be my 20th retail completion - I actually noticed this because i went up to the 20 completes badge on my 360voice blog.  I also bought Lost Odessys which I have yet to finish the first disc of - but have been enjoying.  My son got a bit wacky with mashing buttons and bought spongebob underpants slam as well, which was a bit of a suprise.

Work has been pretty busy, in fact just today I was pretty sure I was going to get fired.  Long story short I set up a replication of bad data to our live database - it was supposed to be a test from a test database to our new (not yet live) database server, but I mixed the two up, and caused some pretty interesting chaos - luckily all repairable chaos, but still.

Also, if you happen to have visited unlocktheachievement.com, you might have noticed thats my handi-work as well.  I originally offered to help out a bit when needed, but I ended up building the entire site - it was an interesting little adveture of the months with DaKing from 360sync - and hopefully everyone enjoys our efforts!
