Ok I just found this pretty funny the first time I loaded the Xbox.com page for Battlestar Galatica (the arcade game coming out this wednesday).  Before you ask, not it doesn’t really cost $800, but a mere 800 Microsoft points, I apparently just loaded the page at the right time to catch this interesting shot

 As I mentioned in a previous post, Battlestar Galatica will be coming to the Xbox Live Arcade this Arcade wednesday. 

“Battlestar Galactica,” developed by Australian-based Auran Games, involves intense space battles as players choose to side with either the Humans or Cylon forces. Piloting iconic ships from the Viper II to the Heavy Raider, players lead a squadron through fast-action multiplayer space combat or can play through the intense single-player campaign based on memorable episodes from the TV series, including the riveting first episode of the continuing series, “33,” and the 2007 Emmy Award-winning episode, “Exodus.” “Battlestar Galactica” features both single and multi-player modes for up to eight players, skill-based matchmaking and leaderboards. Just got a media blast about an upcoming Xbox Live Arcade & PC Game release coming next week based on the popular sci-fi hit Battlestar Galactica.  The game features:

• Single-Player Campaign – Pilot various ships and complete 10 memorable missions from the TV series.
• Multiplayer Game Mode – Play online in this relentless space-based action shooter in Domination, Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch modes. (8 players on Xbox LIVE Arcade and 16 players on Windows PC)
• Legendary Spaceships – Fly 4 Human and 4 Cylon ships from the Viper II to the Cylon Raider, each with unique weapon capabilities.
• Special Weapons – Coordinate attacks with an arsenal of destructive weapons including the missiles, guns and more.

Sierra Online has just unvieled their first details on two upcoming titles Aces of the Galaxy and Boogie Bunnies.  Both are scheduled to release on windows PC and The Xbox Live Arcade this winter.  More details on each game to follow later in this posting.

Additionally they have released some new details on some other upcoming titles such as : Commanders: Attack of the Genos, Arkadian Warriors, Assault Heroes PC, Switchball and Battlestar Galactica.

Everyone better keep an eye on Sierra, lots of things in the works, you are bound to like some….or maybe all of them!
