I happen to be very pleased with PGR4, but I am not very good at it.  For those of you ‘pros’ out there PGR4 is getting a tournament mode which is a free download starting Nov 15th.  It’s free so why not give it a try?  I will definately download it and participate, though don’t expect to see my name on PGRNations until they create a biggest loser category

I have gotten quite a few people stumbling across my blog looking for some achievement tips for PGR4.  Honestly, this is a bit comical because I am relatively horrible at racing games but I figured why not post some of the ones that I have unlocked (and some of them are those you people are searching for)

 ”You Won’t Believe Your Eyes!”

To obtain this achievement you simply have to buy the 3D filter (its in the shop with all the things you can buy with your kudos and if i recall runs about 30,000 kudos.  Simply take a photo, and apply the filter (which I believe you access filters and manipulations by hitting the “X” button after the image has been snapped).  I did this first on a motorcycle, and it didn’t work - which is a bit strange if you ask me, but it seems to require a car to unlock the achievement.

“Bibendum”

Even more simple then the above achievement.  You just have to unlock the test track mode by getting to “professional” rank in the story mode.  From there simply play all 3 test tracks, complete the race, and get the achievement

there are a number of others that I have unlocked, but they are for the most part self explainitory, below are some that people have connected to my blog looking for, but I also have not unlocked them yet.

“Hero” - Become a National Champion in Single Player Career mode.

By the description I would guess this will unlock as you further your career path in PGR4

Rubbin’ is Racin’ - Knock off the wing mirrors on all of your opponents’ vehicles in a Single Player Street Race event.

again the description is self explanitory yet it has to be rather difficult to wack the mirrors off EVERYONE you are racing against - I would assume a fast car, with excellent handling would be a must.

I am not one to hunt this kind of stuff down - but this pretty much fell right in my lap.  To my suprise neither of the 2 major achievement sites seem to have these listed yet either.

With the launch of “Project Gotham Racing 4” less than a month away, we wanted to share some amazing new shots taken using the game’s Photo Mode. Photo Mode is once again returning to the “PGR” franchise, with all the features you’ve come to expect – and a few new ones as well. Not only are new effects available, including noise, wobble, tunnel, and vehicle blur, but there are also special new filters including the 3-D glasses “cheat.” Enabling new feature this will render your photo mode screenshot in 3-D, so using a pair of red and blue glasses will put your photos into a whole new perspective!

Photo Mode is also more tightly integrated into gameplay than ever before. PGR On Demand – our new online server technology – allows you to download the photos you want, when you want them. For example, want to see Ferraris racing in Macau? No problem. Want to see a Kawasaki in a snowstorm? Just search for it. PGR On Demand also allows you to vote on public photos taken by other players, meaning that we will finally be able to see who’s photo grabbing skills are truly the best in the world.

The PGR4 team released a new video showing some racing in the snow on tracks in Nürburgring and Quebec.

Since our last update, we wanted to check in and provide you with the latest details on all things “Project Gotham Racing® 4,” which will be speeding its way onto store shelves this fall. But first, be sure to download the new gameplay video, “The Snow in Nürburgring,” from: www.xbox.com/pgr4video

In this video, we’re excited to show you how snow will present new opportunities to show off unique and stylized maneuvers, while gaining admiration and recognition from the crowd. The dynamic weather system will bring Mother Nature right to your doorstep! Check out the video and see for yourself how cool drifting and powering through the big white flakes looks, but also how exciting and realistic the elements can feel while driving. We’re not about adding things just for flair you know…

You’ll also notice that the video takes place on the beautiful Nürburgring track. Additionally, we’re excited to announce that you can tear through the streets of stunning Quebec. These two locations, along with Shanghai and St. Petersburg, are four of 10 locations that will be available in “PGR 4.” We promise to disclose the rest of the cities soon so stay tuned. After all, there’s a lot more road to hug out there…

”PGR 4” will also feature some of the world’s most iconic cars, as new vehicles are lined up and ready to be driven, including the following:

Your “Project Gotham Racing 4” Team

Project Gotham 4 slated for store shelves this fall has released some information on a bunch of new features.  The game is going to have a new career mode, where you will grow a fanbase that will cheer  you on, and react to your every move.  So for those of you that are good at racing games (not me) you can have a bunch of adoring fans screaming as you race by, pretty cool little feature if you ask me.

At this point you probably have all ready heard about the dynamic weather system that is coming with PGR4, which will include changes in the physics of driving around an wet or icy corner in.  They released the name of two locations Shanghai and St. Petersburg and an additional 10 other locations.

The game also comes with a reviews Kudos system, which mentions pumping your fist at passing a player at full speed, and with the new A.I. personalities will be able to perform bold new driving maneuvers as they race side by side with other drivers. ”PGR 4” will also feature some of the world’s most iconic cars, as new vehicles are lined up and ready to be driven, including the following:
